As we prepare to welcome a new Congress and administration, it is also important to remember that transitions in leadership often bring significant changes to hard working and committed staff who work for elected officials. While some will be gearing up for new opportunities and fresh beginnings within the new administration and congress, many will be facing the reality that their position on Capitol Hill or within a federal agency will soon be coming to an end.
Depending on the political landscape in the coming weeks, fewer opportunities may exist for some. I remember the worry I felt when I worked for a Member of Congress who lost and two others that were retiring; unsure what my next position would be or if there would be job opportunities out there for me.
At Brumidi Group, we want to celebrate with those who win, but also be a resource for those who may be navigating career transitions. For anyone considering their next career move in the new year, reach out to our team if we can be helpful in expanding your network, brainstorming next steps, writing a review on LinkedIn, or making you aware of positions that will be open in the new year at our company.
Transitions in leadership in DC can bring anxiety professionally. We have been there, so let us know how we can help. DC needs talented and hardworking professionals; sometimes the challenge is getting enough people to know you are looking so that they can be helpful when opportunities emerge. We are always happy to be helpful in that regard.
